"Hilary Lister, a 37 year old quadriplegic from Kent, only able to move her head, sailed into the record books on 23rd August 2005 when she sailed solo across the English Channel. Since then Hilary has become the 1st quadriplegic sailor to sail Solo around the Isle of Wight and the first disabled woman to sail the length of the south coast. Hilary is preparing to complete the round Britain dream starting from Plymouth at the end of May, 2009. Hilary aims to become the 1st disabled woman to sail solo around Britain. She was forced to postpone her sail last year as she and the team were hit with the worst weather on record, but is determined to complete the sail this year."
